The DLF Masters 2007 was held from 10th
till the 13th of May 2007 with total
Prize Money of 65 Lac.
The USPGA Tours Pebble Beach Pro Am and
the European Tours Dunhill Links
Championship format was introduced for
the first time in India in this
tournament. The Pro Am had a Team
Championship with a Prize Money of 5 Lac
for the winning Professional and a
trophy for the amateurs. The team
championship was won by Amardip S Malik
and Raghav Malik with a total of 285 ,15
Under par.
It was a unique experience for the
amateurs as they got to pay golf with
the 50 top golfers after having made it
the cut at 7 over par. They than teamed
up with the amateur, for the next two
days. It gave the amateur a rare chance
to play with the professional and also
giving them the excellent opportunity to
gain knowledge about the way they play.
The course played tough with its fast
green and strong winds not allowing the
golfers to settle down as the score
show.
