DLF Women's Indian Open
2009
Day 3, Friday 27
February 2009
|
|
Thailand's PHATLUM, PORNANONG successfully
defended her DLF Women's Indian Open title after
carding a four-under 68 to win by two strokes
from Korea's KIM, HAE JUNG.
The 19-year-old from Chiangrai, north Thailand,
finished the three-round event with an
eight-under 208 total - two strokes better than
Kim, who begged a second runner-up prize inside
two weeks. Kim finished joint-runners-up after
playing in a three-way playoff in Bangkok last
week.
Phatlum gave a quick hint of her attempt to
defend the title when she birdied the first hole
and that advantage was erased at the fifth when
she dropped one. However, she steadied herself
and went on to make four more birdies on eighth,
10th, 15th and 17th. |
