At the Academy, a student can practice any kind of shot that he or she may encounter on the course. Long game practice is done either from specialized astro turf or from natural grass. A well designed short game area gives students an opportunity to practice a variety of shots from 80 yards in. Undulating lies to strategic pins located over a bunker challenge a student to simulate shots played on the course. A large bunker adds to the variety and another large, undulating putting green not only plays true and fast, but also caters to a good number of students and Academy users.
