In a massive exercise, possibly the biggest in Asia, DLF has painstakingly transplanted thousands of fully-grown mature trees instead of cutting them. Some of the best horticulturists were roped in to ensure that these trees survived during the transplantation process. There has been a very high success rate in the transplantation exercise and today members can see these trees thriving in the new golf course. The logo of DLF Golf and Country Club itself has the image of a real tree which was present before the golf course came up and till date has been protected by designing the golf course around it rather than by cutting it. DLF Golf and Country Club acts as the green lungs for the city by providing green cover of over 200 acres.
